Cascais – Green Destination

The Platinum Green Destinations Award, awarded at the beginning of March, highlights the municipality's sustainable approach to tourism.

The award highlights Cascais as a green destination, highlighting the sustainable approach it takes in the field of tourism.

The award was announced at the ITB Berlin 2024 Fair (one of the most important in the tourism industry), which took place between the 5th and 7th of March.

According to the event's organizers, the Platinum award is awarded to tourist destinations that present a code of ethics, strategic planning, tourism monitoring and sustainability indicators in this area.
